Cloister Initials

I am very lucky to have a set of 72pt Cloister Initials, cast by American Typefounders before they went into liquidation in the 1990s. These letters are the Holy Grail of type, being unobtainable today. Cast from very deep matrix, the printed result, especially on cotton paper, produces an embossed 3-D tactile result, that is quite stunning .

The three large initials are the only Cloister letters I have in 120pt. However, I have the full alphabet in 72pt
The smaller 36pt floral initials were cast from matrices made by Monotype.  For reasons unknown, The design of the letter X was deemed unworthy, and was not cast for this set.  They were therefore not given a named but only assigned a number, 448.
